Manicure: asphalt & violet nails

I like to add some kind of a back story or narration to most thing I do, so here is a back story to my manicure. (lol) Imagine a space/road just filled with asphalt, so gray and monotone. And then, a small violet flower, growing through a crack in the asphalt~ Doesn`t this sound lovely and don`t you think those colors would look nice together? xD

And here is my manicure, I also used Sally Hansen maximum growth conditioner as base and top coat. ;D I did one layer of Recycle (China Glaze) and one layer or this nice light violet, from Selene, which is a random 1$ per bottle nail polish here in Poland.

And that`s all. xD

new: MAC dazzleglasses Baby Sparks & Moth to Flame

Finally they arrived! ♡ I was starting to think they got lost in the mail, but today finally my new babies are here!ヾ(@°▽°@)ノ I ordered them from allcosmeticswholesale and it took almost a month for my order to arrive, but I did chose the most economic option. Of course I could just go and buy them at the MAC store in Warsaw, but here they cost almost 30usd per one dazzleglass! :o I bought them for 13usd and less than 10usd shipping. Which of course makes my wallet happy, as I bought 2 dazzleglasses for the price of one in my over priced country. ヽ((◎д◎ ))ゝ

My photos and swatches! An old container of Baby Sparks I bought in Namba, Osaka :D The name is almost scratched off... (I`m keeping it for BACK2MAC program - you bring back 6 plastic containers and get a MAC lipstick free!) Middle is Baby Sparks and bottom is Moth to Flame.

Moth to Flame over OCC lip tars custom pink! (*゜▽゜ノノ゛☆

MAC has a couple different types of lip glosses, but dazzleglasses are the most sparkling ones! They don`t have too much pigment (hardly any, in fact) and don`t really show up as color on lips, but the glitter itself has different colors and depending on the glitter it shows differently on the lips. It will just basically give you a glittery gloss effect with just a hint of color. They also work great over lipsticks, especially nudy colors~ \(*0*)/sooo pretty.

Moth to Flame is a light honey beige color with beige, golden and light electric pink/light violet glitter. Baby Sparks is light baby pink color with light pink, light violet and light blue and silver glitter. (At least that`s what it looks like to me). They stay on the lips really long and the sparkle is just really cute. The glitter is not "in your face" obvious huge pieces and really makes lips look biger and yummy.:*:・( ̄∀ ̄)・:*: Thanks to this rich consistency it stays on the lips so long I guess and you can not feel pieces of glitter at all, it feels smooth, sticky and stays on lips forever. The aplicator is brush shaped, not a spatula and not a doe foot, and it`s easy to use!

But, I wouldn`t recommend it if you don`t like sticky glosses, but IMO it`s not the stickiest, Dior glosses in those tubes are more sticky. Also, if you don`t like glitter in your lip gloss, you will not like dazzleglasses, as it`s mostly glitter and shimmer with a tiny bit of color. Uhmm, and if you are not looking for this specific effect dazzleglass gives, you might be satisfied with a cheaper lip gloss, those are quite pricey for the amount.

But, I will definitely order more. ^^* Baby Sparks is a re-buy for me anyway. ^^*

In the mean time, no buy march is a success so far! Yay!

BTW, I`m watching Yamato Nadeshiko Shichi Henge drama, just because I`m bored and I like Kamenashi xD Am I becoming one of those obachans...? lol xD

Sheet mask experience

I need to moisturize my skin a lot and face masks really help that. But I just can`t be bothered with the wash off masks and I actually can not use peel off masks, so I only invest in sheet masks. They are super popular in Asia and there are many brands to try from Japan, Korea, etc. You can get them from eBay! Surprisingly, there are not so many of them here in Europe...

Anywhoo, Cosme.net sheet mask ranking goes like this (as of 2010.02.20):
#1 Hadabisei, Uruoi shintou mask (super moisturizing)
#2 Versailles no Bara, Oscar & Rosalie mask
#3 Hadabisei, Uruoi shintou mask - whitening
#4 Electore, Physical Science Electore face treatment (expensive! 100g; 5,880円 / 200g; 9,870円)
#5 SKII, Facial treatment mask ( 6 masks, 9,975円)

So since I love sheet masks, I decided to pick up the two Hadabisei masks from top 3! ^^ I got them from eBay and they arrived in a week~ There is 25ml of moisturising lotion in every sheet mask package, that`s a lot compared to some other sheet masks I`ve tried and I like that. I got the super moisturising one (red) and moisturising/whitening one (blue)! On the right my Hadalabo sheet masks which I loved, ahh, sooo moisturizing - they made my skin shine! (If you don`t have super dry skin use it at night!)

The Hadabisei masks came a bit crushed (the cardboard boxes), but they were coming from Hong Kong in CNY season, so I forgive... ;)
The red ones are OK, the sheet feel really thick and it`s not smooth. The blue one is great though, smooh and full of the moisturising lotion! :D Gokujun mask is still my favorite, but second place goes to blue Hadabisei and third to the red one.

I also ordered Natto masks from Beauty Diary brand. I would love to eat natto, I know it`s good and healthy, but I can`t buy it where I live. And if they put all the good things from natto into a sheet mask... must have for me! xD I heard it doesn`t smell like natto, which is ...too bad! I would actually put it on my face. xD Also ordered the 22 masks economical pack of Kose moisturising mask with Q10 coenzyme and they just arrived too. ^^* (There is a nice selection and if I like this one I`ll get more from Kose)
Anywhoo, I will try more and more sheet masks! Do you have any recommendations?

OCC lip tars review: Hush & Anime

So!!! I`m so excited about this! xD

actually I have hush on my lips in this photo ^^*

Two days ago my lip tars I ordered from Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics arrived! I ordered Hush, which OCC describes as "PALE, ANTIQUE BRIDAL PINK" and Anime, which is "INTENSELY NEON PINK-FUSCHIA". I saw many reviews at youtube and since they are mixable, I though I could use Hush and Anime straight from the tube and then also mix them for many shades of pink lipstick! :D

hush straight from the tube (this color is a light powdery pink with a bit of beige in it, absolutely wearable on it`s own for a beige-pink-ish nude lips!)

hush mixed with a little bit of anime (*0*)/

Anime straight from the tube! (my makuep resolution for 2010 is do bold lips, so I will rock this color on it`s own! :D But add some Hush and it will still be a super bright pink, but a bit toned down... ah I love the mixing possibilities!)

My review. Those colors are insane! They apply exactly like the color you can see in the tube, full coverage, no sheer finish, they are not joking! They are neither lipstick nor lipgloss in consistency, I mean the lip tars stay really long on lips (and anime actually stains them too), but have a bit of a glossy finish, they are not 100% matte. But they are not touch proof, it feels like they never completely dry and sink into your lips, they are always a bit fluid, so you will leave lipsticks marks on glasses when you drink and anything that touches your lips - clothes, fingers, etc. They work very nice with normal lipglosses - vivid color and a sparkly finish = love! But, thay do feel drying. At least on me, and I have dry skin. I always have to moisturise my lips, then put the lip tar on and a gloss on top helps too. Just lip tar on it`s own is too drying for me.
Oh, another thing people might like about it is, it`s completely vegan! And the tubes can seem small, but looking at the amount I use on my lips (a tiny bit) I don`t know if I`ll ever use it al up! Overall, I think they are insane and I love them! :D I am on a no-buy march, so maybe in April or later, I will order more colors and have fun mixing them! It`s not that expensive (12,50usd for one tube) and it will last you ages and you can mix your own colors, which is amazing! (I mixed a pink and I store it in an old contact lens container I cleaned!)

Anyway, DL;DR version:
Pros: amazing colors; 100% coverage; you can mix the colors all you want; stay on the lips very long; completely vegan product; great size for the price; etc.
Cons: you must apply with a lip brush; stains everything your lips touch, doesn`t completely dry, feels a little bit dry on the lips;

FOTD! Missha Oriental Herbs BB cream, Etude House glitter eyeshadow, eyeliner with waterproof pencil and Majolica eyeliner and a custom pink lipstick I made with Hush ad Anime! :DDD

And as you know, pink lips are popular for spring!

Oh, I`m having internet problems at home so I may not be able to respond to comments right away! m(._.)m

Fashion inspiration: Matsumoto Ena

I`m still sick... *sigh* I like winter, but what we have here now is this transitional period, it`s neither winter nor spring and one day it`s sunny and lovely and the next the weather goes back to snow, cloudy and cold. So I like winter, but I want it to be spring already, not something in between. (Yes it`s march and it`s still snowing here in Poland, sigh!)

Anyway, here is my latest fashion inspiration. I think her style is so beautiful, trendy and cool. My style icon: Matsumoto Ena! I think she used to be a model at Vivi magazine and now she has her own brand EMODA and is an independent model. I don`t really dress like her now, but would really love to, and I`m making notes for spring shopping basing on her looks. ^^*

She rocks the head scarf, I want to try it too! The girls on the left and right are dressed fierce too! And the red lipsticks! *love*

There is a lot of monotone in Ena`s coordinates, her brand EMODA is also advertised as モードギャル, so it`s classy, simple and up to date. On the right of Ena is Akane Suda, a model from Happie Nuts, whom I also admire for her great style! Anyway, look at some earlier photos from Ena`s blog, I just  love her style!

The hair! And she wrote 似合わないなんて気にしない!, which means "I don`t care if it doesn`t suit me", which is a great motto, fashion should be fun and if you wear sth that doesn`t suit your image, but you want to wear it, it will start to suit you, just wear what you like and be confident and have fun <3 Another motto I like is "Fake it `till you make it!".

Flawless skin and makeup = inspiration!

Who are your fashion inspiration at the moment??
