Feb/March Favorites and HELP JAPAN

Hello everybody! I hope you safe in your houses with your families... not all of us are so blessed...
I am still in shock after watching the NHK news and seeing the terrible tragedy that struck Japan! My thoughts are with the people in eastern Japan, where the tsunami was the worst. Please go to http://www.redcross.org/ and donate!!!
Just Hungry Blog: Other Ways to Help
Tokyo may be doing all right, but the situation in Tohoku region is tragic!! (T___T) So many people lost their homes, whole cities are wipes off the earth by tsunami waves... You can watch the latest (and not distorted by unprofessional foreign journalists) news here: http://www.ustream.tv/channel/nhk-gtv (NHK live news)

(This is an amazing, moving poster btw!)

But, even though I feel so bad for Japan and my friends who are there, there is not much else I can from where I am now, than watch the news and send money. Lets hope the situation gets better for all the earthquake\tsunami victims soon! (I won`t pray, cause I`m not a religious person & I also advice you to, instead of praying, send some money!!!)

I decided to make a post today, so I can take my mind off the shocking news... Too much stress is bad! Please relax also! ...so, in this spirit, here are my february and march favorites:

1. The Body Shop - Body, room and linen scent (green tea and lemon)
The smell is really lovely~ Just a couple pushes and the whole place smells lovely! I also spray it inside my closet and before guests arrive - the smell is not too strong or fake, I really recommend it!! I also got the aroma oil from the same scent line. I smelled the other scents, but this one was the best IMO. Also, last time I went to Body Shop, it was sold out. Popular!
Iwostin is a polish brand, similar to Avene I`d say, only available in pharmacy. They also use thermal water from a local source and make specialized skin care cosmetics, also for delicate and troubled skin. I like the point gel so far, and the moisturising cream is really great! Moisturising and my skin absorbs it fast, but it is not fat! I will definitely get more cosmetics from this series!
3. Missha Oriental Herbs BB cream (also knows as Choboyan BB cream)
This is a repurchase and I really like this bb cream!!! I did a short review post on it a long time ago and it is one of the most popular entries on my blog! I will be definitely doing another review with color comparison photos and so on. :)

4. B&C Makemania lipgloss
I got it on sale from AdamBeauty (recommended!) and I really love it over red or pink lip colors or even on its own! Usually I am a glittery lipgloss fan, and this has no glitters or sparkles, just silicone-y "smooth" shine, but I like it a lot and apply it a couple time a day!

5. MAC lipstick in Morange (finish: amplified)
I saw it in JJ (or Vivi, I don`t remember), Matsumoto Ena said she uses it and since I had some MAC empty boxes around, I gathered them, took 6 and went to MAC to do the BACK2MAC program and got it for free! :D The color is suuuper intensive, I think it is best smudged out with a finger and definitely with gloss over it, the Makemania lipgloss works great! I do not feel too good in red lipstick, but this orange-red is much more wearable and such a happy, energetic spring color! I will be wearing it a lot this spring and summer! :D Also when I was getting it, the store makeup artist said he just got a "orange lipstick for photoshoot" request from a fashion magazine and send that color. Ena wears it, stylists want it, I got it, get it too! ;D
6. HadaNomi (肌飲み濃ミスト) Rich Collagen Mist (from SANA)
I got it from AdamBeauty too, just because I was curious and you know, I think "got to moisturise, got to moisturise!!!" all the time XD). I got it, and THEN I got home and went to read the cosme.net reviews on it! XD Some peopl wrote they use it as a lotion, after washing face and before applying milk and cream and makeup, so I tried that, I really like that way of using it! After washing my face with Kanebo Blanchir Suprior cream soap (which I also super duper love and I think it helped with my recent acne problems!!! :D), I spray a couple pumps of this mist on my face and neck and massage gently and pat it into my skin. Then I go on with my regular skincare and makeup routine and when I finish makeup, I spray one pump of this on my face. It is cheap, is non comatogenic (won`t block your pores) and smells nice, I will be using it a lot. Repurchase - I`m not sure yet.

So, those are my favorites, I also loove love love KANEBO Blanchir Superior whitening skincare line, I am def. buying the big size Cream Soap, and hopefully sheet masks and lotion, but I`ll try to make a separate post about that.
And to finish this post, a page from latest Vivi issue that I just can`t stop looking at, loooove trench coats!!! I got one from Bershka recently, but it is not perfect, I am still looking! Bye bye! And let`s donate to help Japan!!

Super cute spring style trench coats!! Want them all! XD

Recent MAC shopping and magazines! :)

First of all, my new magazines sent by my sempai from Japan arrived! :DDD Yay! Happie Nuts with beautiful new autumn makeup section, BLENDA, JELLY and EMODA catalog with lots of freebies! :D I am at work, so I will read them later!

And recently I went to MAC and bougt 2 eyeshadows and the new eyeliner from Fabulous Felines collection - the eyelienrs are soo cool, the colors are great! Metallic grays and dark plum and navy were my favourite, but there is also sparkly gold and silver, or khaki, etc. the names are cool too! I got regular black, a little bit metallic, but the name of the color is "ON THE HUNT". :D

I also got 2 eyeshadows I liked on the stand, the one on the left is retrospeck, the one on the right is woodwinked. They didn't have retrospeck in a pro-pan version, so I had to buy it in regular packaging and depot it myself. I was depotting mac eyeshadows (or any eyeshadows for that matter) for the first time ever, but I more less remembered the tweezers and lighter method and I did it and it was super easy and fast :)

Retrospeck is sparkly gold. Woodwinked is a tiny bit coppery natural light brown, it has a pear sheen to it, I love it! (click photos to see larger size)

Swatches on fingers! :D Pretty?
And below are all my mac eyeshadows!
Not many, but 2 months ago I had no MAC eyeshadows at all. The blue on it freshwater, the highlighter color is Phloof!

The eyeliner is super easy to draw and stays on all day long! It is a black, but seems a bit metallic, not typical matte, flat black. I wonder how long it will last, for it was a bit pricey, but oh well!

I did some swatches in the store and after coming home they were still good as new! I looove the navy one!
Ahh, got to work a lot this week, regular work and extra work and other appointments, ghghghghhh.... wish me luck and health! Also, today is mom's birthday! Yay! Happy birthday Mom!

Recent shopping. Shoes and more~

Ooooh!!! You wouldn't believe! Weather in Poland is so bad! It is already full on autumn here, but not the "golden leaves and romantic sunsets" kind of autumn, it is the "is you go out without an umbrella, you are asking for it!", raining every day and sooo gray and gloomy and  really really cold! (below 15c degrees!) :o
I must say I like rainy weather, well, I like practically any kind of weather, so I quite enjoy it... But then again I have  acharacter that does not stress over things  I have no control over, like weather, traffic, etc. I just am not capable of caring enought to get mad over it, I just take what's on that day and roll with it. ;))
Other people seem to be quite mad at the weather though! LOL

Anyway! To live through those cold days, I had to go shopping! XD
I bought: loose clack gold from H&M, and a cute scarf, a knee-length khaki trench coat from PROMOD and 2 pairs of shoes! Cutie biker style bootie and beige/brown pumps. I had to imidiately take the pumps to a shoe fixing store though, the heel tops were already falling off... (=_='')

Anyways, they are comfortable and cute!

I alos did some other shopping - after a long break, I ordered some japanese magazines with the help of my best sempai! :) This time he helped me purchase those magazines:

BLENDA september 2010!
I really really like BLENDA style, defintitely a favourite magazine. I am ane after all, Reiko's outfits are really pretty and inspiring! (≧∇≦*)(*≧∇≦)pキャー Also makes me want to wear red lipstick everyday! And red nails!

Next, JELLY october 2010! Ah, I love love love this cover!!! Not only is it super cute already with pink*gray color scheme, it also has Miliyah!!! (≧∇≦*)(*≧∇≦)pキャー Sooo excited to get this!!! You know, there are always online scans, but for me, who likes to read all the small info and additional instructions under photos, having the real magazine in my hands is bliss :) I soend a couple hours on bed brownsing my magazines when they arrive (lol).

Hohoho~ My sempai asked if I am ordering some ero-books after seing the cover of this one online.... xD Oh well, Happie Nuts always delivers strong and sexy style and their makeup and hair and Sayoko and Saki Namba and Hiromi are just the best! :) And there is a cool present! A folded mirror with a skull motif, how cool! 。('-'。)(。'-')。ワクワク Oh, there is preview here at the wonderful Madeleine's blog! :)

And last but not least:

EMODA mook, aka catalog and styling book and "how to become more Ena" advice section?! (* ̄∇ ̄*)エヘヘ *grabby hands* ALSO! It comes with 3 presents!!! A makeup poach, gel eyeliner and an eyeliner brush!!! Oh my, how luxurious!!! :D Anyway, cannot wait for my new babies to arrive~
Are you ordering some magazines lately? What are your favourites???
Take care and I hope autumn where you live is prettier than here :D

MAC "To the Beach" pages and cover / Vivi 2010.07

First of all, I got a formspring account: http://www.formspring.me/cosme411 You can ask me (almost) anything you are curious about there. ^^* It is also linked permanently in the right column.

And now onto the entry. I really like japanese magazines! There are many reasons... I was once asked if I like them, because I want to look like the models (asian), which is NOT the case. ;) I am 100% happy with my caucasian features. ;) I can appreciate beauty of all races and colors though, but it doesn't mean I hate on mine - a problem so common among young people nowadays. : /
Anywhoo, if you were wondering, I like japanese magazines because:
1) the fashion is ADORABLEEEEE and the page layout is packed full of coordinates, but easy to navigate - there is much more content than in western magazines!
2) the makeup and fashion advice is MUCH MORE detailed, which is great! It often irks me, how in western magazines they show only before and after face and you are left to guess how to draw the lines and apply everything with a few lackluster sentences (>_>?) Pointless!
3) each magazine has a distinct and unique style, which makes it easy to be inspired in the style YOU like. If you like colorful young gyaru style, go for EGG or Ranzuki, if you prefer celeb-style get Vivi or JELLY, if you like koakuma and sexy styles, Happie nuts and Ageha is for you. And for the most casual and toned down, but trendy gal fashion, get BLENDA or Scawaii. The variety is amazing! :D
4) they are just full of "KAWAII", cuteness overload, just looking at them makes me feel happier ^^*

This is the most recent cover of Vivi magazine (2010.07) So many models on the cover - my favourite is Marie! There is a super cute layout on MAC's To The Beach collection (Japan always gets MAC collections very late). I love how they photographed the cosmetics! The shell on the cover casts a shadow on the pans... adorable~ And speaking of TTB, I don't really want anything from this collection except the green eyeshadow, called Sweet and Punchy. Will I get it??? We'll see. So that's all and enjoy the scans!

BTW, today I wore fake lashes for the first time in forever! Of course I didn't have time to apply them in the morning, but I used my Hello Kitty fake lashes case and took DUO glue with me. At home I cut up one pair of simple cross-type into 2 pieces and then at work glued on one half to each eye. It is a very natural and subtle effect (you probably wouldn't be able to tell I'm wearing fake lashes), but it makes me feel so much better. And lashes are like kind of a shield. Make me feel stronger and happier. Who cares about trouble and stress. My fake lashes will blow it all away! ;) (or so I hope)

random & mini haul: 4 INGLOT nail polishes!

I bought 4 INGLOT nail polishes on Sunday! :D ポーランド生まれのブランドINGLOTのネイルを買いました!They are all great and I think you might like them too:

The colors are: 703 (matte finish fuchsia pink), 202 (holographic multicolor effect, looks golden, green and orange) and 204 (blue holographic effect), XL1 (clear with fine silver glitter). They were all 18pln each, which is 6usd! (とても綺麗で質のいいネイルで、一個600円くらいです。)

The pink one is just a cute Barbie fuchsia pink color, but the special thing about this polish is - the finish is matte! :D It`s my first matte nail polish I think and I am loving it so much! The one on the right is just your old regular small silver glitter polish, I like glitter and shiny things, so I must have a couple polishes like this, aight?

Matte and pretty : ) Yesterday`s manicure.
I don`t have a matte top coat unfortunately (what fail), so the manicure fell off a bit and I decided to replace it. I love the color though. I reminds me of Barbie dolls I used to have as a kid, even though I much prefered to play with my LEGO xD

Now the holographic finish ones! I heard they are finishing this series, so I will have to run to INLGOT and buy all of the colors! They are so pretty~ The colors are 202 on the left and 204 on the right:

This is 202, it is multicolor, but at first I thought it is green, then I thought it`s golden & orange, the effect is really interesting and depending on light and surrounding, it will look different. So much fun : ) Just looking at your manicure can be exciting too, right?

This is color 204, violet and blue holographic pieces, looks pretty! (*_*)

And my new manicure today, super fast and easy : ) I used INGLOT Diamond Top Coat (15) as base and top coat and holographic 202 - 2 layers. Only one nail is the matte pink (703) and one layer of 202 on top. (And 15 on top again, it also dries very fast, I likeit way better than Sally Hansen Hard as nails)

I also bought this body cream recently and it really works well - I get bad dry skin patches on my elbows and hands (ugh T_T) and it works, but I don`t really like the smell... oh well, got to just bear with it I guess. Other than the strong maple smell, this is very good for dry skin! 効いてるので、匂いを我慢します!

I really like outfits like this ↓↓ Also, Lena is adorableeee~ (T_T*) This photo is from SCawaii, catching up on the mags I bought and didn`t even have time to read! xD It says the girl on the left is May J, she`s some kind of a singer? I heard the name, but I`m not familiar with what she does really. Oh, and they are wearing dazzlin`, and Lena is wearing this colabo all in one, zomg, soooo CUTE! (>_<*)

A dress I recently bought from ZARA :3 Not quite what is in the pic above, but I liked the print (*_*) Why don`t western brands make exatcly the same clothes as japanese brands..? I want them. xD

haul: magazines and EGG Beauty preview!

got all my ordered magazines! Jelly april and may, Happie Nuts may, Scawaii and BLENDA with Kato Miliyah on the covers and EGG Beauty spring 2010! :D

That`s not all, I let my coworker have 2 for the weekend!
There were some freebies! A mini bag-shaped pouch with Vivi and Hello Kitty fake lashes box with Scawaii. :D

Hello Kitty fake lashes case from SCawaii magazine. Pretty cute and has a good mirror inside!

The bag from Vivi:

I tried to arrange it with a quilting bag like in Vivi :D

Ahhh, I am sooo happy with my magazines! :D Since there is a shitstorm in the media I want to ignore as much as possible, I will be reading them all day long~ :D I love my japanese magazines, zomg! After reading them carefully I`m going shopping! :3 BTW, here are some previews from EGG Beauty. I would definitely recommend it if you like gyaru or makeup, their makeup is pretty extreme, but you can use it as inspiration even if you don`t do gyaru makeup or it would be perfect for party makeup! :DD Here are some snaps, enjoy!

Romihi in a questionable coordinate xD

Sakamoto Remi, she looks like a Bambi, very cuuute, everything! :)

Aina looks pretty too ^^

The "monster teeth" Nemoyayo. She OK, but.... sigh

Kanako is shopped right too! XD

And it of course has tons of super detailed makeup instruction, a very nice skin care section, hair section, some fashion, GAL DEBUT section where they help out beginners to get into the style (want translations??) and over all it`s a great magazine if you like gyaru and beauty!! See a couple more random pages and hope you enjoy!
