PINK BLUSHES! Swatches, comparison & reviews! ☆

Hello!☆☆☆
Posting on last day of 2010, lol! But, I have to be at work, even thought  there is NOTHING to do, so I might as well post, right? 暇つぶしね Anywhoo~ Today I will be sharing a pink blushes comparison and swatches with opinions! Most of them are in heavy rotation in japanese fashion magazines and since I have them and use all of them I thought someone might be interested! So here we go!

I will be comparing (original prices in brackets):
REVLON blush in color 202 Just Peachy (~19 usd)
MAC Mineralize Blush in color Dainty (21 usd)
Canmake powder blush in color PW20 (550 yen)
Canmake cream blush in color 01 (580 yen)
Candy Doll blush in color: Peachy Pink (1260 yen)
All of them pink right! lets open!

When we open them, it's easy to see that the Candy Doll and Canmake blushes are cool shades, while MAC and REVLON blushes are warmer

Canmake's cream blush is most similar to MAC's blush, Candy Doll and Canmake PW20 fall into the same category of super light cool toned pink with blue undertones, while Revlon is most peachy rather than pink.

swatches in daylight (winter) with flash
BTW, my skin is NC20 and lighter on my arm, between NC15 and  NC20 in MAC coloring

swatches in winter (no flash!)

I dunno, another photo with swatches XD I also included Canmake Cream Blush in color 04, vitamin orange just to show how cool the pink tones are better.

Now I'll try to sum those blushes up in a couple words:
☆☆☆ REVLON blush in color 202 Just Peachy
Pigmentation in this blush is medium, which means with a couple strokes you will still get a delicate and natural effect. Also there is a super tiny silver sparkle powder in it, so it also gives your cheeks a cute glow. Great for beginners with blush imo! The case also has a useable good quality blush and a pop-out mirror, so it's perfect on the go too. Over good blush.
☆☆☆ MAC Mineralize Blush in color Dainty (21 usd)
This blush when you swatch it with your finger looks not very pigmentet - rather very sheer with tons of fine glittery sparkling parts (I see golden, silver and  pink sparkling powders in it), but on cheeks it actually creates a super natural adorable blush, both the color and the pigmentation are great on cheeks and it is also highly sparkly, but not is an obvious way. It will really show off your cheeks and make them look "higher" if you apply it to the right parts of face. :D I like it tons, but I think it is easy to go overboard with this one, because it seems so sheer. But then you go outside and it turns out you made yourslef look like a clown, lol. So use with moderation and you'll get wonderful effects! (The swatch on arm is super heavy, I applied way too much, but I wanted to show you the color, on cheeks you apply less and it looks a bit different.) More pics here.
☆☆☆ Canmake powder blush in color PW20 (550 yen)
I got this one because all japanese gyaru magazines were raving about it from EGG to JELLY, even Vivi. It is a very cool tones, very light dolly pink. It not pastel nor neon, it is like strawberry ice cream kind of color? Hard to describe!! It has silver glitttery particles (I like blushes with a little bit of sparkle ^^) and a brush in the case, but in my opinion you might as well throw it away, completely not useable, too thin and the bristles too long, useless! The blush is quite well pigmented and you get a nice color even with just one layer. It will give you this super cute super sweet baby/dolly pink cheeks. I really recommend it, the price is unbelieveable and the quality really good! (But be carefull, I have another color from the same series, and it is completely different, I never use the other one cause I don't like it :o)
☆☆☆ Canmake cream blush in color 01 (580 yen)
Very well pigmentet cream blush, which after application turn into powder formula! :D I loooove the way it applies, so smooth like butter, bur then it turn powdery - very easy to use and can be applied with fingers or a brush (a small duo-fibre brush would be perfect!) It has super tiny silver sparkles, but they are very delicate and not obvious in person. This is also a very cute and good blush for a cheap price, especially if you are new to cream blushes there would be no harm if you tried this one first. :) I also have better swatches and review on this one here.
☆☆☆ Candy Doll blush in color: Peachy Pink (1260 yen)
The raved about Matsuwaka Tsubasa's brand.... hmmm.... Honestly I am not sold on this one! Doen't look like in Tsubasa's photos :/ At first I thought "What! This doesn't even show up on my skin!" and then I changed my mind when I put it on my cheeks in sumemr and I had a little bit of a tan and somehow the light made it look exactly like on Tsubasa. But then... I dunno, it is well pigmented, but the color is so light and honestly doesn't show!! Also it is a matte blush and it can look chalky if you apply too much - which is very easy to do, because I try to add more and more to make the color show, but it doesn't, it just makes your cheeks go more chalky.... OTL Mixed with other blushes it is really nice as it gives a kind of pale canvas for the other blush, but on it's own? Nah, not impressed. :P The swatch I made on my arm is SUPER HEAVY, but you can hardly see it... I think it would be great as a base cheek color for people with darker skin, so you can apply a candy pink on top and it will show better!

In artificial light - if you click and see the original size, you can see the sparkles

Swatches in artificial light.
What is this!? Candy Doll blush disappeared! :P

Which one was your favourite? Can you recommend me some good pink blushes? :D Now thinking about it, I forgot to bring and photograph my MAC Azalea Blossom blush, it is also pink!! OTL I will make a separate post for it, lol! I also have a separate post about MAC's Mineralize Skinfinish in Porcelain Pink here. :D

Lets enter the new year with cute pink cheeks and be cheeky in 2011 too!
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!!!!せ~の (o ̄▽ ̄o) わ~い \( ̄▽ ̄o)/

PPS. A couple nights ago I was bored and slapped on full gyaru makeup! 8D I also took photos so I will post a tutorial for this look soon! :D I am wearing Diamond Lashes in Celeb (top) and Princess (bottom) styles. :) Also, I got a twitter account only for this blog, since I don't want my random tweets to appear here, lets keep it all about cosme! ♡ Ichibankao HAUL ♡ & Dolly Wink catalog scans for ya!

Hello again!
DISCLAIMER: This is NOT A SPONSORED POST, I bought this with my own money and just write my honest thoughts without noone asking me to do it. :) I would like to be sponsored though!! Contact me if you want to send me products for reviewing yo! 8D
I am writing a new entry so soon, but my ichibankao.com haul just arrived yesterday evening, yay! Excited!! Here's what I got:
the damage...(Y_Y*) I love it though!
★ Blue Tray aka Power series: Celeb Eyes
★ Deep Pink tray aka First Series: Dolly Eyes
★ Purple Tray aka Lady Series: Princess Eyes (bottom lashes)
OMG, I can already tell you, Celeb Eyes lashes are the shizz, go get them asap!! I totally love them! So long and perfect mix of wispy and volume type lashes, nice curve, they have volume but still look natural (not like Brigitte Bardot lashes!) and the lash band is clear and soft... Ah!! LOVE! Also the Deep Pink tray series, aka First Series, the tray is smaller than the newer trays and honestly the Dolly lashes were underwhelming at first contact - so small and natural! I mean, maybe for someone with no lashes, those would be perfect natural daily lashes, but to me they are practically the same length as my own lashes... lol, we'll see, I'll be testing them! And the bottom lashes, Princess Eye, I wasn't able to glue them on when the stripe was uncut. I cut off the 2 longest pieces and they were perfect, even... dare I say it... natural looking!!! But the full strip is more Sakurina-like. Anyway, full reviews coming up of course!

★ CANMAKE: Powder Cheek blush in [PW20], the pretty sweet dolly pink, perfect for anybody and perfect in gyaru looks!! :) With a little bit of glitter to light up your complexion. Will look lovely on dark skin as well as porcelain skin, highly recommended, a great product for a tiny price. ^^*
★ CANMAKE Jewelstar Eyes in [01] Crystal Silver, which is their jelly glittery eyeshadow/eyeshadow base. I bought one of those (golden brown color, maybe it was 2009 limited color?) and I really like it! Applied thin it looks sparkly and cute on it's own or adds glittery sparkliness to any shadow you wear over it and applied thin doesn't crease. (If you apply lots, it will crease though!) :D Next I got two lip glosses:

★ MakeMania Curvy Lip Silicone lip gloss (left), the brand's official page is here, it is by MAKEMANIA from B&C LAB. I ordered color #506, natural nudy pink, 透明感度アップ(hm?). It is advertised as "curvy lip SILICONE" and the back of the packaging said it is like melting wax on your lips and is packed with moisturising & care ingriedients (including: hyaluronic acid, colagen, grape seed oil, soy inflavon,) and... omg, I LOVE IT! 硬くてたれにくいビニールシリコンタイプです。. The maker says it is a thick vinyl silicone (?) type, that does not wear off, and it's true! It feels like your lips are wrapped in plastic with moisturising treatments under it and it's really shiny and a great gloss overall. It is applied with a see through plastic spatula, hygienic. REVIEW COMING UP! I want more when I use this one up!
★ SANA Super Quick Gloss Concealer in #01 Nude Beige (right). It is like a full coverage moisturising lip gloss - the color completely covers your natural lip color, as if you used an opaque lipstick or well, concealer. I got natural beige which is a bit like MAC's Siss and Peachstock lipsticks mixed together in color. Apply too much and it will look SOOO BAD, seriously. Trying it out, I can tell the best way to apply it is to clean lips - no chapstick, nothing! Apply thin layer, pat it in with your finger then apply more if you want. Then it looks really nice :D Topped with the MakeMania gloss it looks quite lovely! Like a nude lipstick and a gloss witout the lipstick!

I will do swatches and reviews soon, I promise! Do you like the haul? Which review do you want to see first?

******** *********** ************

The ICHIBANKAO.com staff (I know one girl who works there is called Kelly, right? Thank you!) were soo kind and included a Dolly Wink new products catalogue with my order, even though I didn't buy any Dolly wink products! Yay! I love it! It is well designed, printed on thick paper and all the pages have perforation so you can tear them away and use as postcards or what not! Or course I scanned them for you!

(click on images to get large size and credit me if you reuse! thanks!)
cover: Create cute eye makeup and look like a perfect Dolly! <3

page 002: Includes a message from Tsubasa: "We created eyeshadows and mascaras according to many Tsubasa's instructions, which will allow you to get doll-like eyes! With Adult Kawaii makeup, lets become Dolly starting from the eyes!♥" The newest lineup are 2 mascara types (long type and volume type) and four 4-colors eyeshadows palletes and 2 cream type sparkling eyeshadows!
I only want the cream eyeshadows, I can never get enough of sparkling golden and silver

Page 003: Introducing the Long type mascara, which creates especially to elongate your lashes.Says "it has shiny blask polymers and two kinds of fibers, that stick to your eyelashes making them separated and beautifully long". Hum hummm! Japanese fiber mascaras are usually good, so.... Anyhow, Tsubasa is looking so cute!
Also: it is easily removed with warm water - that's great!

page 003: Introducing the Volume type mascara! Says it is "a waterproof mascara with 'soft wax', that makes every single lash thicker". Hm, japanese mascaras are usually good, so I'd consider this if the price was right (inluding international shipping), but now I have some L'oreal mascara and Kanebo SENSAI 38 mascara - from my older sister, I like them!

Page 004: introduces the new eyeshadow palettes, in color #01 Brown. For Sweet Dolly look, cute but natural eye makeup.Well, who doesn't have a brown eyeshadow palette already? I have plenty! XD

Page 005: Eyeshadow palette #02 Grey Pink for Monotone Mode look. Ooh I like the styling on Tsubasa in this photo! But grey shadows, so generic... Also I don't think I'd use deep pink on my lower lid for everyday makeup.

Page 006: Eyeshadow Palette in #03 Blue Orange, for a look called Country Retro here. ;D Orange and blue and white and dark gray, hummmm... (-_-?) I like thestyling, but I don't need to buy the eyeshadows to get this look, soooo easily dupeable!

Page 007: Eyeshadow palette in #04 Green Pink, in a look called Colorful Pop. I think this is the cutest color combo in the eyeshadow palettes, but honestly, OVERALL, those are all so easily dupeable and nothing special about the palettes for me... The the price of 1,600 a piece plus international shipping, I'd rather get something else. I think the target for those eyeshadow palettes are die hard Tsubasa fans only. Rest of us, get 88 shadows palette from ebay and you don't need those! (O_o) For example, see this great post about how to get one of Tsubasa's looks without her eyeshadows, written by Al and S of CyutiiShortiis blog!

Page 008: Cream Eyeshadow in #01 Gold for Nudy Glamorous makeup and oh I want it, sparklyyy... (*_*) Although most brands have a cream sparkly eyeshadow like that, I still want it, because I love sparkly stuff... hahah! The photos of Tsubasa is also very pretty. Tsubasa's advice is to apply just a little bit to your lower lid, with a small brush or a chip, then it won't move! Anyways! Cute!

Page 009: Cream Eyeshadow #02 in Crystal. Lol, I want this one too.... Both cream eyeshadows can be used on their own or layered under powder eye shadows, personally I like to wear them like this for an extra sparkly oompf! on my eyes! (*_*)

Back cover: DID YOU FIND YOUR FAVORITE?? Hahaha, don't tease us Tsubasa!! XD

All pages are scanned by me, so I watermarked them, if you use them, please credit me and link back to my blog!  My IMPRESSIONS? I dunno, makes me want to bleach my eyebrows looking at those photos... XD
So, I will be posting reviews and swatches for the eyelashes as soon as I get to really use them more (I put on Celeb eyes and Princess eyes on as soon as I gor home and looooove them though... hahah.... And for the other products as well. I will be a bit busy with work this week it seems, so probably next post during the weekend, hopefully! Please let me know what you think about the Dolly Wink catalog and if you have tried the stuf I bought! Let me know what you think, I love my followers and Your comments!

Ichibankao skincare haul ^^*

I reened to buy refils for my skincare routine, so I ordered from Ichibankao! The products I ordered re not on their website, but they are easily available in every japanese drugstore, so I asked them for a quote, they replied and I ordered my stuff! :D Their service is really great! And since I was already ordering from another continent I decided to get a tiny bit of color cosmetics too.

I got Hadalabo Gokujun series milk, toner, sheet masks (not in this photo) and face wash!
And the extra cosmetics are Kanebo KATE Gradical Eyes palette in GD-1 and a new product from Canmake, called Shimagelic Eyes (lol) in 02 sugar milk tea. It`s basically a gel glittery eyeshadow/eyeshadow base. The color of the container is the color you get (it said so on the container).
I already have the KATE palette in BR-1 and I looooove it, it`s so long lasting, the color payoff is great and they are shimmery and just look great, and for the great price you get a shimmery cream base and 4 eyeshadow colors! :D But, if I understand corectly, recently the line was remodeled and the eyeshadows are a bit different, this GD-1 palette is definitely different than my BR-1 and I don`t know if it`s because it`s a different color or if it`s because of the line renewal. One big diference is the text on the box and the cream base is not as shimmery. Still nice though! I want all of the colors from this (*_*)

It looks shimmery and pretty on eyelids! I like shimmery and glittery stuff, so for me this is subtle... ;) It has multicolored smal glitter pieces and the cream is light warm beige, well, like sugar milk tea indeed, with a lot of milk! It says it`s waterproof, I apply it and blend it in with my finger and apply some eyeshadows on top (beige/brown nudy ones mostly). It lasts all day. :D

The palette is nice, really golden/yellow, especially the golden eyeshadow. The white and the browns are regular and pretty, warm and not too strong.

Those are the shadows only, without the cream base. Really pretty colors! :D Pigmented too. And shimmery. :) It`s recommended. I think i would recommend BR-1 more than this, but if you like yellon/golden shades more than rather nudy natural lovely browns, then go for GD-1! :)

I have to work saturday this week, so that`s all for now and I hope you all have a great weekend!

`Canmake cream cheek` swatches (#1 and #4)

It`s the swatches and pre-review time for Canmake cream blushes! ;D (It`s a pre-review, because I got just got them and we`ll see if I use them a lot and like them.) So lets get down to the business, photos and my notes.

Canmake Cream Blush #1 and #4

Desk lamp at night, the plastic wrap (for safety) has cute heart deco. It claims ポッと発色 ツヤツヤほっぺ♡ とろけてさらさら仕上げ, which is bright color (shows well on skin), shiny cheeks & it melts and creates a smooth finish. I would say all of this is true - it`s a cream cheek blush with little and rather subtle sparkling glitter in it (though the orange one had more of those, the pink one less), and after application it feels like it turns into a powder, so it looks smooth and shiny at the same time. ^^* Well done. I think it could be applied with a brush too, for  a more even color.

Desk lamp at night, click on the photo and see the glitter.

Bright daylight on a winter morning (colors are a bit washed out), vitamin orange is really orange xD and the pink is a bit peachy baby pink. Adorbs!

On fingers - see it`s pretty pigmented, but it blends out well, don`t worry. ^^

Swatched on my wrist. The colors are a little bit washed out because of the bright cold daylight. It could be blended out more for  a more delicate effect, but I wanted the swatches to show on camera. They are pretty pigmented, and I guess younger japanese girls love it - they are all about a dolly look, they apply lots of baby pink blush to the very center of their cheeks. (A super nice girl working at Chika Ikkai club in Osaka for example.) Of course this is not suitable for work, but it`s popular among younger girls. ^^

And same swatches with a flash! See how sparkly they are? Personally I like sparkly shiny makeup, so I don`t mind, but if you are a 100% matte type of girl I guess you wouldn`t like the orange - it has more glitter. You would maybe like the pink. But if you don`t mind shine on your cheeks, you`d love these. Again, you could blend them more, use less, for a more subtle effect, those are just swatches, I think I would apply less on my cheeks anyway.
Overall, I`m excited to play with it! :DD Sparkly ans cute, just looking at it makes me smile. ^^* I am wearing the orange one right now and it does not look crazy on cheeks, it`s very delicate and super cute, I think it would look amazing on women of color and tanned skin, but I`m pretty pale and it looks cute. If you wanted you could of course apply it all opaque and extra carrot xD but generally it is really useable and so cheap too. ;D It really melts into skin and looks natral and healthy. Loves it. :3
It`s cheap and cute, I think I might buy other colors too and/or backups for those colors. :D It seems like a perfect product for summer, to just throw in your bag and go anywhere with it :D

BTW, Tsubasa Matsuwaka produced a brand called Candy Doll, and their new products for this spring are orange blush and warm peach beige highlighter, the difference is her orange blush is powder blush and I don`t think it`s that shiny. They put up instructions about where to apply the blush and here they are:

And she recommends to just pat the blush in the center of your cheeks. I still need to experiment and find my favorite way to apply it of course. ^^* There is also a very helpful page in latest Ray magazine on applying blush different for specific colors, which I LOVED so much I had to share it with you all:

I think this is soooooooo helpful, will definitely listen to this good advice! ☆
Hope the swatches were helpful and tell me your current blush and how you apply it!
(BTW, I am thinking of getting Sigma face set makeup brushes! Need more!)

Tiny Sephora and Canmake haul *^^* Canmake Cream Cheek intro

Hi guys! (Czesc Gosia ;D)

Yesterday a small letter arrived from Japan and inside were my 2 Canmake cream blushers! I ordered colors #1 and #4 from ichibankao and as always they arrived safe and quickly. And since I went to Warsaw to meet up with my dear girl friends and get updates yesterday♡, I bought a lipstick brush at Sephora too. It`s not retractable, but it is very soft and looks well made, all black and sleek and it was affordable - 25pln only (8,45usd)! I will look for a retractable lipstick brush too at another time, yesterday I also went to look at drug stores (none) and INGLOT too, but it was 65pln. I didn`t even go to MAC, because it would be even more expensive I guess... I wasn`t ready to spend this much on a lip brush, since first I want to see if I will even use it regularly; If I do, I will invest in a good retractable one I can carry around too. BTW, the shop girls in Sephora were so nice yesterday, I`m impressed. Good service is 60% of success. ;)

BTW, they are having this promotion on Sephora makeup in march - with a purchase over 59pln you get a 10pln discount (Sephora brand items only). I also got a tester (smoothing primer), I used this once and quite liked it when I had mixed skin, but I`m not sure if it will work for my dry skin now..? And I`m not a big fan of this silicone-y film feeling on skin neither. D: Here`s my tiny haul:

My VW hand towel is a nice background, eh? ; )

Ichibankao also sent me a generous sample of Kanebo Blanchir Superior cream soap, yay! Whitening face cleanser, how did they know the things I want to invest in next are 1) a good eye cream 2) whitening skin care? lol (And I mean invest, I`m looking into Estee Lauder eye creams and serums, got to save up!) The Blanchir Superior soap is super creamy and foams up like crazy, the foam feels really soft and nice and when I washed it of my face was literally squeaky clean. Also feels like 15ml will go a long way! So, thank You ichibankao, I`ll enjoy it. ^^ Who doesn`t love freebies and testers! ☆

My EOTD yesterday! I cut up volume-type lashes and glued on 3 cut up pieces on outer corner of each eye. I used MAC gel eyeliner, Rimmel sexy curves mascara, Visee palette in A-2 and CHANEL ombre d`eau in white as my base. On brows, KATE eyebrow palette, BiBo eyebrow pencil and Palty eyebrow mascara. ^^ Missha Oriental Herbs BB cream and MAC select moisture cover in NC20, no powder (skin too dry and the bb cream has a powdery finish alredy)

I think I will make a separate entry about the blushes, they are so cute! The diamond-like polished boxed are cute and light, the blushes look sparkly (#1 the pink one is not as sparkly as #4 the orange one). They are cream blushes, but after applying and massaging into skin they turn into powder consistency. They spread easily and sparkle delicately, it just looks like a natural flush, healthy... and the orange color is a challenge! xD I also think they would work great as eyeshadows and lipstick because they are creamy yet powdery after application! (I applied the pink one to my lips, it was 100% covering and matte, such a pretty baby pink color too~ I topped it with a KATE pink sparkly gloss and wow, was I surprised :o Looked so nice! And stayed on really well too.)

Canmake cream cheek #4 and #1.

BTW, I have a new phone, Samsung Avila, it came free with my 2y contract. ^^* It`s a touch screen phone (plays music well and you can watch movies on it too). I`m still getting used to it, but it has a triple screen so I had to use all my favorite JELLY girls as wallpaper! :D

Recently I`m on a big Kato Miliyah kick, looove her voice, lyrics and fashion style! ☆ マジで可愛い過ぎますね♡ If you don`t know her, here`s a sample:

2010 Spring cheek colors (*^o^*)

Spring is coming! ヾ(@^▽^@)ノ
(it`s hard to believe with sooo much snow everywhere though...lol)

Cosme.net posted introductions for spring cheek colors from many different brands! Pink is always popular, but this spring, the new trend is orange and other vivid , "happy" colors, sparkly violet from MAC mineralize series, "orange carrot" from Candy Doll, Matsuwaka Tsubasa`s colabo cosmetics line, pastel and baby pinks and oranges from CanMake cream blushers~ It just looks so colorful, healthy and happy! ♡

BTW, did you know that CanMake cream blushers are recently always in the top 3 in cosme.net ranking! For a long time it was no1 too, now they are no2 after Jill Stuart blush. ^^*

Anyway, today I ordered 2 colors, #1 peach dream☆ and #4 vitamin orange☆. Reviews say this blush has tiny pieces of glitter in it, how exciting, can`t wait for them to arrive so I can test them and review them here. Doesn`t the name vitamin orange sound so good? :D

When they come I will make a post with all my blushes - I have 2 from Revlon, 1 Canmake powder blush, 1 Canmake bronzer/highlighter set, MAC mineralize skinfinish in porcelain pink and I sometimes use my Dior lipstick in Rose Energie as cream blush, as it`s it rather sheer and looks nice on cheeks too. *^^* BTW, did any of You notice, that Revlon blushes are different in Japan and rest of the world? The blushes Revlon sells in Japan have tiny pieces of glitter and it looks so cute on skin, but when I got a Revlon blush in USA a long time ago is was matte and didn`t show up on skin at all and I threw it away... (O_o`) But the Revlon blushes I got in Japan? Love them!
What`s up with that?

spring collection blushes fron CanMake, RMK, MAC (photos from http://www.cosme.net/)

So, are you getting any new blushes for spring? If so, what colors? What do you thin about orange or violet for cheeks? ☆ Thanks for reading~♡
