haul: Sephora brush, MUFEconcealer, MAC MSF natural & HR mascara!

Before I go to the post, let me say thank You to beautiful Hana, Alanna and Mitsu for mentioning my blog! I looove your blogs too! And my blog was supposed to be a place to write about my makeup and I am happy and surprised that people actually like to read it. Thank you all so very much! <3 I will do my best to come up with good reviews and more tutorials! :D So and read their blogs, they are the best. :)

So, I`ve gone shopping recently after work, to hunt down a much needed new mascara, concealer and mineral powders I was thinking about for a couple months now. First I went to Sephora to get the mascara I saw there last time, Helena Rubinstein Lash Queen Feline Blacks Mascara. It doesn`t say it`s waterproof, but it doesn`t smudge, crumble or fall off my lashes in any way and it really gives them this oomphf! volume :D I really like it, and it`s easy to remove too, comes off with Sensibio micelle solution for example, very glad I bought it. The only minus for me would be the big brush, which  I`m not used to, but I can learn to work with it. Diorshow mascara brush, on the other hand, was too huge for me and I wasn`t even able to use it, lol. I got spoiled by the little flexible silicone brushes that are so easy to use! (You must try L`oreal Telescopic if you haven`t!) And the other obvious minus would be it`s not waterproof - but there is also a waterproof version, the golden one, I just picked this because I liked the packaging and I`m not going scuba divin wearing mascara anyway.

Then I also went to see their brushes, and since I was thinking about getting mineralize skinfinish natural powder from MAC, I went ahead and got the Sephora retractable powder brush, to carry around in my bag. :D The brush is soft and thick and it`s OK. It`s good quality for the money - it was not expensive. There were also sephora lip liners on sale for 5pln (less than 2$) so I took a nude pink one too.

Then another day, I went shopping again, to finally give mineralize skinfinish natural a try and I also went to check what`s in other stores and also went to another Sephora again to think look at concealers. My coworkers, with typical to their nationality (not polish) delicacy, ask me everyday "have you been crying?! because your eyes look like you were", ummm.... No I haven`t, I just have deep set green eyes and heavy lids, can I live?! xD LOL, but anyway, I was running out of MAC select moisturecover, so I was thinking about getting the famous YSL concealer, but the MA at Sephora said that if I want coverage too, not only brightening, I should try this Makeup Forever concealer, and she showed it it me, and I bought it! ;D So my haul from the second day looks like this:

The concealer has original packaging, the MA tried to convince me this is more hygienic than a brush dispender, but I don`t really see how. Oh, and it`s paraben free btw, so that`s good. Using it now and will let you know how I like it in a moment. I got it in color 315. I found a quote about this concealer from MUFE makeup artist: “It has a silicone tip to make it gentler to use.  For makeup artists, all they need to do is to disinfect it with 99% alcohol and it’s ready to use for the next person. The product is  always fresh and clean as it does not get exposed to air until it comes out of the hole on the tip. The concealer is very hydrating and won’t creep and crease :)

Now, I got 2 of MAC`s mineralize skin finish natural, because I saw them being used for finishing face and shading (or just this instead of foundation even!) in Happie Nuts makeup section once.

I like this sculpted effect! I wanted to get sth for shading for a while now and I heard mineralize skinfinish natural is good~ I was suggested medium and medium deep colors and I got them and they are about right, medium could be a tiny bit lighter for my taste, but I mean, it looks very natural on me. Mineralize skin finish natural is a "luxurious domed face powder with minerals, slowly baked to provide a dimensional yet natural-matte finish. Provides perfect low coverage. Use to set and fix foundation or as a touch-up throughout the day." according to MAC website. I did`t really use powder to set my makeup recently, because my skin is dry, but recently it started to get better and anyway I had the idea of using this more like a foundation than a powder. I touched up my face with this yesterday in the evening after work and before drinks and it looked great, like I reapplied my whole makeup again, skin just looks smooth and photoshopped after it! (btw, I don`t photoshop my pictures because I`m too lazy! xD) It`s a very nice mineral powder. I can be also used wet of you fancy that. ;) I got a darker one too for shading, below is my FOTD when I bought them, I applied just a tiny bit of it and blended well :D They look a little bit shimmery in the pan, but they are natural matte applied. Doesn`t the skin in this photo look photoshopped almost?!

(btw, I was testing the darker shade on my decolte, can you see? the lighter one is the same color as my skin)
I have on: missha oriental herbs bb cream shade #1, MUFE concealer in 315 under eyes, MAC mineralize skinfinish natural in medium and medium deep, MAC blacktrack get eyeliner, kanebo KATE gradical eyes BR-1 eyeshadows, Helena Rubinstein Feline Black mascara, sephora lip liner and MAC Creme Cup on top, KATE eyebrow powder.... that`s all I guess?
This is me after work I just put on the MSFN to try it out and it looked pretty good! :D

Will make a review later when I use all this for a while too. Bye and hugs! :)

march/april favorites! :D Ulubione rzeczy marca i kwietnia!

First of all, I had 10,000 visits!!!!! Thank you so much! :D
I thought I would post about my march and april favorites, so here it is! It will also be a short review of some stuff I`ve ben using and now have and opinion. But since this post is faves, you can predict what the opinion is. xD Here are my favorites:

You can click on the links to see my previous posts about those items! ^^*
OK, I came to really like it, even though it does not give 100% coverage, it works really well and feels like I have nothing on my skin, maybe I got used to it. The color matches my skin perfectly and I really like the fluid to powder finish, but it doesn`t look dry, even around the eyes. I actually use it every day, with bb cream or the Mineralize SPF15 foundation I recently got on impulse. If you have good or I dunno, half good skin, try this! I`m afraid it might not work for bad skin though, by bad I mean deep scars, very dark discoloration, big acne scars, etc. For that try something else!
I`ve been using this every night and day. I think that after 2-3 days there was a visible change in my dark circles, they became much lighter and definitely less puffy! When I apply it, there is a little bit if tingly sensation and it feels warm/hot too, but it`s nothing unpleasant and I don`t think it`s alergic - I`m alergic to nothing so far. Also the little funny applicator that came with it is a great idea! To think I laughed at it when I saw it first... ashamed now, hahah...
3. Etude House nail polish (GR601)
I bought it last summer in Seoul, after being surprised how soooo many korean girls wore green and blue manicure and pedicure! And not even pretty blue or green, more like dirty, mossy, muddy shades of those colors. I guess in Europe it would be just weird and ugly at that time, but it looked soo good on Korean girls, especially with their black hair and light skin :D So I bought this (and a green nail polish too) and I`ve been using it ever since, but since spring has come, I feel like wearing it more now! It`s a beautiful color! <3 (And btw, colors like this are appearing more in non asian countries too, MAC`s Birds and Berries collection nail polish anyone?)
4. INGLOT nail hardening polish (15 diamond top coat)
I just works great as a base and top coat and my super dry weak nails are starting to grow a little bit again. It also helps nail polish to dry faster when used as top coat! INGLOT girl told me there is something-something from diamonds in it, uhmm... well, it works! xD
5. MAC dazzleglasses (moth to flame, baby sparks)
I looooooooooove dazzleglass lipglosses! If you love sparkle and don`t mind a sticky gloss, you will love it! Actually many people complain that they are too sticky, but I disagree. They must be sticky to stay on the lips longer! And they look gorgeous on lipsticks or on their own. I predict more dazzleglasses coming my way for sure!
It`s so soft I couldn`t believe it!! Also feels so funny when wet, being washed! It helps applying brush in a more delicate, natural way, feels so soft on skin, it`s just great. If you must get just one brush, get this one!
7. SIGMA flat foundation brush
I am a big fan of applying makeup with a brush and I have two flat foundation brushes now, this one from SIGMA and one from MISSHA, which I got in Seoul. The fibers feel basically the same, both are soft and great, but I think the handle on the SIGMA brush is more balanced and a better shape to fit in my hand and the brush fibers are just a little bit shorter than on the MISSHA one, which kind of requires a little bit more time to apply, but at the same time leaves less brush streaks/marks on applied foundation, I like it just a little bit more than the korean one! I also use this to pat in concealer and apply cream brush sometimes, all in one makeup.
I bought it to test it. And just in case I wouldn`t like it, I bought two tubes to sell the second one and get some of my money back, just in case. But... I definitely won`t be selling it! I feel like the first tube really helped remove (!!) some blemishes and red acne marks and my whole face has a more even, better tone now, after using Vitacreme B12 for 1,5 months! I will be ordering more! I also gave myself a curling iron burn on my cheek (clever, I know!) and put a thick layer of Vitacreme on the burn mark and  it heals fast. I also had a dry skin rash on tops of my hands, so I decided to treat it (it was sth like a super dry skin to the point where it cracks like a dry ground and is easily irritated by anything and has red spots, terrible) with Vitacreme, and after 3-4 days it disappeared completely and my hands are as good as new since then! Amazing! Plus I got used to the granny/rose smell, and the pink color just makes me smile. :D
!!creepy fact: I carry the almost used up tube in my bag everyday and have secret urges to apply it to my coworkers` faces, just to make them more beautiful... xDD I don`t want to say they are ugly, but I just want to make them feel better and look better! Is that bad? But sudden cream application would be awkward. XD

Random zoom, you can see the sparkles in dazzleglasses well here! :D

And to finish this post, a photo comparison on my two flat foundation brushes! Sorry they are not dirty, it`s just the zoom option catching every small finger mark...! I wiped them right after taking those photos. Oh, and the Sigma one is wet in those photos as I just washed it. :D So far the Sigma brush is the winner by 0,05% xD

the SIGMA brush is just slightly smaller and shorter

the more regular SIGMA handle feels better in my hand ^^
And please forgive less posts. I will try. I didn`t buy anything since last time though. I am planning to buy a lot in may after payday though. I also want to try MSF Natural for shading. OR should I go for a blush for shading? Help!

MAC & Missha concealer review

Hello!
Welcome to my new blog, all about cosmetics I use/like/want and anything skin care related. I hope you enjoy and find my posts helpful! ♡ First post, yay!

This post will be a compare and review post for 2 concealers I use.
1) MAC select moisturecover concealer in NW15
2) Missha the style undereye brightener in light beige

I bought both from stores, Missha store and MAC store, you can buy both online, from respective brands` websites and eBay.

☆ Missha concealer is 5,99usd on american Missha webpage and I don`t know how many ml it is, but it`s very similiar to MAC, maybe it has around ~4ml of product. There are only 2 colors to choose from, light beige and medium beige, which is typical for korean brands... they even sell foundations (and bb creams) in one or two shades only).
☆ MAC select moisturecover is 16,50usd, so it`s almost 3 times as expensive as Missha concealer! It contains 5ml of product. There are 15 shades to choose from, so everyone should find their match easily. (Plus if you are lots, ask the sales person at MAC counter, they are all pros with MAC makeup and helpful).

Both concealers are in easy to use tubes with built-in doe-foot applicators, which are easy to use and sanitary. (Remember to never apply concealer directly to zits, if you have any!)

Tube bottom. Everything on Missha concealer is in korean... (=_=`) It says "light beige" only, and no expiration date or weight...so if you throw out the box you know nothing, like me now. 8D
OK, now onto the swatches!

Swatches on paper, left is MAC, right is Missha. Although they look almost the same in tubes, they look completely different on paper! MAC concealer is their moisturizing one, from many concealers they offer and it`s very watery in consistency. It sank right into the paper. Also the color is much brighter than Missha`s. Missha concealer is thick and offers good coverage, almost like a foundation, but I wouldn`t recommend using it as foundation, it`s too thick to cover your whole face with it. Also the color is darker and has yellow undertones, which is not a surprise, as Missha is an asian brand (korean). (On the other hand, I think MAC`s concealer could be used as a lightweight foundation for the whole face imo, it would work like a tinted moisturizer.)

Swatches on my wrist. (Please notice skin on my wrist is lighter than on my face ;) I have fair-medium skin with yellow undertones). As you can see Missha`s concealer is thick and covers my skin color completely without blending. MAC is watery and see through. Now lets`s blend them into my skin!

MAC concealer is very bright and has light coverage. I think the name they use for Missha`s product would suit it better than "concealer", it should be actually called "brightener" as the coverage is light and it mostly brightens up your skin and makes it more luminous. It doesn`t accentuate "wrinkles". Missha`s concealer completely covers the small green and purple veins on my wrist and doesn`t accentuate small "wrinkles" on my skin. It looks yellow, but on my face it actually perfectly blends with my skin tone, also I use less on my face than in the photo. MAC`s concealer looks too white (I think I might exchange it for a darker shade, I just bought it last week so I still have 14 days to exchange).

OK, so lets sum up the review! I only had the MAC concealer for a couple days, so I might change my mind later, but for now, here`s how I see it.

MAC select moisturecover concealer
price: 4/10 ★★★★☆☆☆☆☆☆
amount of product: 8/10 ★★★★★★★★☆☆
packaging: 10/10 ★★★★★★★★★★
coverage: 4/10 ★★★★☆☆☆☆☆☆
consistency: 5/10 ★★★★★☆☆☆☆☆
comments: this MAC concealer will not cover dark blemishes or undereye circles!! It`s watery and light coverage, you will like it if you want a very natural looking makeup and don`t have a lot to cover up. About it`s moisturizing properties, hmm... I don`t know if it has any. :p Also once I put it over fat moisturizing creme and it rolled into a hot mess and I had to redo my whole makeup :o
buy again? maybe, but don`t think so, want to try a darker shade
OVERALL: 5/10 ★★★★★☆☆☆☆☆

VS

MISSHA the style undereye brightener
price: 9/10 ★★★★★★★★★☆
amount of product: 7/10 ★★★★★★★★☆☆
packaging: 10/10 ★★★★★★★★★★
coverage: 9/10 ★★★★★★★★★☆
consistency: 8/10 ★★★★★★★★☆☆
comments: I really like this concealer! It covers my red blemishes and acne scars as well and my under eye shadows, which can be green, red or purple, but this concealer kills them all. ;) Also the consistency is fluid foundation like, but it only means you need very little of the product to cover and look natural! I`d buy it again, if I had a missha store close by...
buy again? would love to!
OVERALL: 8.5/10 ★★★★★★★★⋆☆☆
