Essie nail polish: 3-way glaze & good to go!

Recently my nail are in a terrible state, but I decided to take a little bit more care of them. :3
Honestly, I don`t have time and dedication to polish them and repaint all the time, I am also guilty of walking around with nail polish half chipped - oops. More than one time... XD I`m just human! (lol ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

But yeah, recently I decided to pay more attention to nails and got two new clear nail polishes, 3-in-1 base and top coat and a fast drying top coat.

ESSIE 3-way glaze and good to go!
They are both very good!! I recommend them if you are looking for a base or a top coat. :3

And my current manicure~ It`s MAC Soiree from their old winter collection. :D

How do you take care of your nails in winter? ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Circle lens: GEO Berry Holic (XTRA) Brown review on green eyes

Hello hello~
Ahh, it`s so hard to find circle lens reviews on light colored (gray, green, blue) eyes! Before buying I want to know how opaque they are, if they blend well or just leave a huge hole in the middle. But often I have to refer to reviews on dark brown eyes, because there is nothing else. But fear not my light colored eye-friends! I review every pair of lenses I buy & recently, after a very long time I got new circle lenses!
I hope it`s helpful for blue/green/gray eyed circle lens fans. :D

GEO Berry Holic (XTRA) Brown

I got them from Eye Candy`s, for almost 24$ including shipping with took about 2 weeks.
Brand: GEO / Origin: South Korea
Water content: 38%  / Diameter: 15.0 mm
Base Curve: 8.6  / Duration: 1 year disposable

I have only had them a couple days but I`ve been wearing them almost every day. They are comfortable and I don`t feel them in my eyes at all, but after a couple hours they do feel a little bit dry. (Best to use eye drops with those lenses). Design wise - I want definitely expecting something more opaque!! They are quite see through. But they also blend very well with my eye color, it`s almost impossible to tell where my iris ends and the lens color begin (that`s GOOD). They are bigger than my eye and give a bit of a halo effect. The ring around the lens is brown-black and not thick, reminds me of houndstooth - not my favorite part of the design, but I can live with it. ;) Overall, they remind me of GEO Nudy Grey circle lens style, so if you don`t like those and think they give "lizzard eye" effect, you probably won`t like GEO Berry Holic XTRA Brown either. (I love the nudy series effect!)

How they look on their own. Brown.

On my gray-green eye without flash.
They don`t look brown unfortunately, maybe hazely-golden-greenish if you look really hard. XD

With flash. They blend perfectly with green eyes! But they don`t look brown. Poop.

My whole face (excuse the wet hair) in daylight (it`s winter so it`s not very bright).
You can click on the photo to see bigger size.

How they fit into my whole face, with flash.

Overall, I must say I quite like them. They don`t give me the brown eyes I was hoping for. They have a more golden green look which is hard to describe for me. The enlargement is visible, but natural. The only unnatural thing is the halo effect with the houndstooth outer ring, but it`s not very thick or black, so still it can pass as semi-natural. They are comfortable and come with prescription (so I don`t have to wear my -1,5 glasses yay). I would say they are good for daytime circle lenses and also "dolly" look.

I hope you have enjoyed my review. ^^v

Healthy, healthy, healthy!!!

Hello my blog! XD

As you can see, I am on some kind of a unplanned hiatus, but I won`t give up my blog.
Since I don`t really do anything fancy with my makeup, just the regular stuff, I will write about how I`ve turned into health "enthusiast", lol. I`ve been eating healthy and exercising since February and it only brought positive results! I feel healthier, more fit, happier. :D But I really got into sport and nutrition and try to collect as much information and try as many things as I can!

I bought myself spirulina as a supplement to fight winter blues. Because the days are getting shorter and darker, everything goes gray and it really affects my mood. I feel so unmotivated and uninspired. (T___T`) But, I`m doing my best to fight it!

What is spirulina? Here is some info from: http://www.antioxidants-for-health-and-longevity.com/spirulina-facts.html

Spirulina is a single-celled, microscopic blue-green algae that is part of the cyanobacteria family. It grows in alkaline waters of South America, Africa and Mexico. Spirulina is grown for the marketplace by commercial processors who grow these it in vast water farms.
Spirulina is thought to contain every nutrient required by the human body, in near-perfect ratios. It is especially rich in vitamin E, vitamin C, beta carotene and B complex, including B-12*** (not found in plant foods), and chlorophyll. It is also rich in essential fatty acids, carotenoids and minerals like calcium, iron, magnesium, manganese, potassium and zinc. It is recognized to be the most complete food source known; no other food contains as many nutrients as spirulina. It has more beta carotene than any other food, ounce-for-ounce.
*** well I was told spirulina doesn`t contain any active in humans B12, so don`t buy it for that - if you are vegan get B12 supplements from the pharmacy, if you`re not, don`t worry :)

So, basically, it is healthy stuff and you can eat spirulina but also use it in skin care!
I am taking the tablets for a couple days now and I really do feel more energized after them! And today I made a face mask! Just mixed the powder with some water:

It is super dark green and.... smells like a pond. XD
As the mask dries it tightens on your skin. I washed it off with luke warm water and did a very light peeling with brown sugar and honey. Later I put on my The Face Shop Chia seeds lotion mixed with avocado oil (I use that every day). My face feels super soft, but it is a little bit red and feels a little bit irritated. I`ll have to see how it feels in a while, I hope that overall it will help. ^^` (PS. I had the mask 2 times now, I washed it off earlier and my skin wasn`t irritated. :))

You can also mix the powdered spirulina in smoothies and whatnot and eat it, but it`s easier to eat in tablets form, as it smells like a pond.

The other thing I got interested in is aojiru, a japanese powdered drink made from kale or young barley. I looked into buying aojiru online, but it is expensive. And I`m not getting a super expensive juicer, because well, I don`t need it and I partially think it`s a fad - you can make green juices/smoothies with other machines too. Anyway, I found powdered young barley here in Poland, online, it is very affordable and practically the same thing as japanese aojiru! (on the right, made in Germany btw)

I was surprised to find it smeels a little bit like powdered green tea aka matcha. :O I will try to make some green desserts with it! :D The only negative thing is it doesn`t dissolve in water and you get this "sandy" feeling on your teeth. XD But I mixed it with orange juice in the morning and it`s completely drinkable :D

Generally I am eating super healthy and buying "real food" aka I don`t buy pre-made food, I cook myself (I always did, but I didn`t choose wisely, just ate anything). Take a look at my food now!

cherries, banana, kefir and young barley smoothie for breakfast, very tasty :D
shopping: kale, tofu, okra

and my recent meal: quinoa (under the veggies), sauteed onion, mushrooms and kale with fresh tofu and a dressing of soy sauce mixed with lemon juice (ponzu style) and the other side with sriracha :D

So are you taking care of your body? Have you tried spirulina? Do you think I already reached health-freak status? (LOL, I don`t think so, because I am a rational person and I think I do things in moderation www)

Oh,  Ialso do my best to move as much as I can: http://www.endomondo.com/profile/5898366 Want to be friends on endomondo and inspire each other? I love that app!

Daiso Gradation nail sets!

Hello again!
My holidays in Korea are coming to an end, I`m leaving for Poland on tuesday! I have fun, but I don`t regret leaving, I`ll be in my sweet home again.... XD And post more about all the stuff I bought here, which is PLENTY. :O
Anyways, today I went to Daiso, aka 100yen/1000won store. I think they have it in USA too, but as far as I know there are none in Europe. I really hate everything made bad and low quality and never go for quantity over quality, I`m all about quality and good taste/style, but Daiso is not like those quite disgusting (in my opinion) "everything 1$" shops. Daiso stuff is actually well made and often cute and it`s sooooo useful if you move in in another country and need to buy a lot of basic things and don`t want to spend a fortune! (That`s why all foreigners and scholarship students in Asia love Daiso ;))

I was buying some random stuff and found cute sets of 3 nail polishes to make diy gradation manicure! Of course I had to get it! :D I was available in orage, pink, black and purple, I got all except purple. One set for 3000won, which is around 3$! I came back to my hotel room and tried it out and it`s really nice - good quality nail polish and easy to use. We`ll see how long it lasts without chipping.
Here`s my manicure today:

Cute! And so simple to make with those 3 matching nail polishes. :D
Here are the other sets:

So cheap and so much fun! ;D I spent some money on shopping here, but I must admit I think I spent most on... American Apparel clothes... XDD I know, going to Korea to shop at AmeApa?? Well, This summer I developed a mini obsession about their clothes, mostly basics and then some more fashion-y ones, they are so comfortable and good! But we don`t have an AmeApa store in Poland, so I was buying from the EU online store, but you know, it`s not the same when you can`t try things on. So when I found out they have AmeApa here I went many times and tried everything on to get an idea of which sizes fit me the best! :D And I bought a lot, and AA is way more expensive here than in USA. But! I am very happy with my "gets". Yesterday I bought those cute high waisted shorts with zippers on sides and wore them to clubbing the same night, we went to MASS in Gangnam (lol, it`s our fave club in Seoul... ^^`)

Can I take a photo witout making a stupid face? I don`t think so!
I also decided to have fun with makeup and wore top and bottom fake lashes! Diamond Lash Celeb on top and Baby on bottom (uncut). I think those are my favorite Diamond Lash models. ^^*

I`ll leave you with 2 random photos, a view from Seould Tower and some sheet masks from The Face Shop. ^^*
Byebye!

Seoul: first shopping GETS! ;D

Since this is a  cosmetics / skin care blog, I want to show some random cosmetics I got so far! ^^* I got more, but I think I will post skin care separately. Yesterday I went to Myeong-dong with my bff Mimi and got some stuff!

Below, the Time Revolution serum from Missha, this is a sample size bottle and it`s normally 9,000 won, but it was on promotion and I got it for only 3,000 won! It is advertised as competition to Estee Lauder night repair serum! ^^*

Next, Neon Tint Gloss from Missha - it is rather see through on its own, but on lips it changes color - different for everyone, depending on your PH and some other stuff, IDK. XD This one becomes patel pink on me, but it`s still transparent and jelly like, non-sticky and overall great, I like it and will get other colors. :D  I was also surprised by how long it lasts!

Last one, Holika Holika (doesn`t the brand image and even the name remind you of some other brand? *cough*majolica majorca*cough*) mascara - my friend said it`s very popular recently, so I got it in "volume" option. It has a special wand, first you are supposed to apply mascara to all lashes with the slim part, them add more volume and decide direction on each lash separately, depending on where you want to accentuate and so on. It is easier to use that I expected and gives really nice volume. Recently I was using some old Rimmel mascara and started thinking I have short & weak lashes, but it was just the mascara`s fault! XD Of course my lashes might be tiny and weak, but with right mascara, they seem longs and thick. XD No more old & bad Rimmel mascara, sayounara~ :P

Next, a cool brand "Too cool for school" (the websote is crazy scary tho :OOO), which is funny as I work as a teacher now. XDD Bad influence, have you seen the Cameron Diaz movie Bad Teacher? I loved it TBH, lol. Anyways, I got compact powder and glitter eyeliner and all the rest are samples and I even got a free eyebrow / eyeliner fixer. :O Other sample include face wash, face scrub, lotion, toner, cream, primer and bb cream. :OOO So I can basically do my whole skin care / base make routine with the sample, I loooove customer service in Korea! :DD Actually I used the primer and bb cream today and I really like the bb cream!! I think I might get it in regular size packaging. :3

The shop staff girls were wearing really strong and crazy make-up, orange, pink and purple and exxagerated elongated eyeliner with glitter on top - they also had circle lens and long brown hair with some curl, I felt like a gyaru brand store and I loved it! :D Definitely a different style than most korean cosmetic brands. This is the glitter eyeliner. I haven`t used it yet so can`t say much about it, but it looked great on shop staff.

And this is the powder! I got it for the container mostly, soooooooooooooo adorable!! :D

So, I`ll post more and I buy more, I`ll do some travel reports too and swatches / reviews later.
Have a great day! ^^*

Hello Seoul!

Hi guys! (^_^*)/

I`m already in Seoul, living in a "kosittel" type cheap one-room hotel and walking around Seoul and shopping everyday! ;D Or more like just spending money like I`m a pro at it, lol omg, it`s so hard to control yoursel! :O Anyway, I`ll do my best to post entries about my trip and hope you`ll enjoy them.

Korea is suuuper hot and quite humid now, everyday is mostly the same temperature, 33C degrees. *hot* To be honset, this makes everything sticky and disgusting, bleh! XD Going to Korea in august is definitely a challenge, but I don`t mind hot weather. I just wish it was a bit more organised and cleaner, maybe I became a bit health/cleanliness obsessed since winter. :P The way koreans walk the streets and drive their cars is complete CHAOS and dangerous too! :O
Anyway, some photos!

I had an 8h stop over in Prague, so I went sightseeing! ^^ It`s BEATIFUL! I walked around the Old Town, climbed up this tower over Charles Bridge and ate a great lunch. ^^

And now Korea! I`ve already visited Korea and have been in Japan 4 times too, so taking photos of streets and stuff is not really interesting for me, so please bear with me as I take and upload pretty random photos... ;D
First, I went window shopping at AmeApa (we don`t have a store in Poland, boo), lol, typical korean attractions banzai!

Then I had a trip to Daiso (a.k.a. th 100yen/1000won store chain) and bought some useful everyday sute stuff, because my cheap hotel (kosittel) doesn`t provide this. And you can see my healthy oatmeal supplies in the back too. Mmmm, healthy food! :D

Typical korean street.... NOT! : P
Later we went to see a Polish design exhibition (hosted by Korea Foundation) opening with Polish and international friends, the exhibition was fun and it was in Euljiro, so we ended up walking around Myeong-dong at night, which was super fun for me!

Yo man! Old men staring at you = normal in Korea, yuck. :P
Also my camera is old and takes blurry photos, got to get a new one!
Myeong-dong, most popular tourist shopping district I think, has everything, fashion, cosmetics, restaurant, street food and tons of people. All shop staff here speaks japanese, so you can use that if you don`t speak korean (yatta! good for me! XD). Not everybody speaks english, but there`s a good chance they will, as it is a real "tourist" place.

And finally, a brand called FACE SHOP had a chia seeds cosmetic line! I got testers from my sister, who is studying here (and that`s why I`m visiting Korea) and the ads are soooo cute and the cosmetics are really nice! Besides I`m crazy about healthy eating, so I have chia seeds for adding to water and food at home and now I can also use it as skincare? This is so eciting for me!! :DDD

Chia seeds toner, lotion, serum and cream! :D aren`t the small illustrated chia seeds just adorable? :D I really like this line, might buy it!

Today I met a friend and went exploring Gangnam, a really trendy place in Korea, where you have the super crowded metro station area and futher away you can explore those small, lovely fashionable streets full of original brand stores (as in owner is the designer of the things in the store) and middle range brand store (Jill Stuar,t KAte Spade, Agatha, etc.). The streets, buildings and people walking around there are very stylish in the international street fashin way, so original and great! I saw a guy in pink aviator glasses with green mirror lenses and another guy in a super bright neon beannie hat, they both looked soooo cool (but beanie in 33c degrees, are you kidding me?lol)  I went to Garosugil Street in Shinsa and Rodeo Drive in Gangnam! :D (MORE INFO HERE) I am lucky, because my friend Kyunam was born and raised in Gangnam, so he knows every street and will show me more! ^^

Also, if you haven`t heard it already, check out the PSY "Gangnam style" song with it`s hilarious video!!
*dead from too much lol*
Too bad the people on Seoul streets aren`t as trendy as in their music videos and dramas, most people wear TSHIRTS and those rubber SANDALS or SNEAKERS (head + palm). But in Gangnam you can see some really fashinable people, especially after dark! :D

And last but not least, matcha frappucinoooooooo!!!! Whyyyyyy don`t they sell it in Polish StaBa? OMG, everyone loves it :D just order without the whipped cream. :D

I will be here till Aug 28th, so wait for more posts! See you!

Natural skin care! (V^-°)イエイ!

Hello! (V^-°)イエイ!

Here`s the post about my skin care update or natural skin care. And when I mean natural, I don`t mean some brand saying their cosmetics are "fresh and full of natural ingredients (with lots of added stuff)", I mean seriously NATURAL stuff, the base ingredients! Here`s what I mean:

refined sweet almonds oil / triple hyaluron acid / organic argan oil / natural avocado oil / organic refined shea butter

I was thinking about buying a Dior moisturizing cream or some other brand, but then I thought "NO!". I was already wondering before, why do cosmetic brands use ingredients like hyaluronic acid (and there is soooo little of it in the product) like it`s some new amazing discovery (when it`s not) and put a ridiculously high price on the ready product? When actual pure hyaluronic acid is so easy to produce by specialist and cheap? You know? I also got into the whole fitblr community on tumblr (yeaaah tumblr, thank you for sucking the life out of me lol) and  found out natural fats and oils are very good for you, for your diet, health, skin, everything. So, I started using avocado oil in my cooking and decided to use avocado oil in my skin care too. Long story short, I didn`t buy the pricy cream and almost completely switched to using only the things in this photo as skin care. And it`s 10x cheaper than the pre-made creams and other skincare! :O

I am so lucky to have a store here that offers pure cosmetics ingredients, for people who want to make their own - I am not that advanced and just using the simplest solution worked great for me so far. (ZROB SOBIE KREM (meaning "make yourself a cream") is the store I use, and they ship abroad, but I`m sure you can find stores like this where you live.)
Don`t expect nothing fancy, the products are just what they are, oil, shea butter or some other fluid or substances. ;) I started using aloe vera extract mixed with hyaluronic acid as toner, avocado oil (with some hyaluronic acid sometimes) as milk/cream - and that is all! My skin improved a lot, and makeup stays better on my face, looks way more natural! I use shea butter on my face sometimes (at night), but mostly on my feet, knees, elbows, hands - it`s amazing for that, sometimes on m hair.

You may think putting pure oil on your face and then makeup on it is disgusting, but trust me - my skin absorbs the few drops of oil I use everyday completely - I get no shine and no oily feeling, and even though I have mixed skin (with the oily t-zone), my face stopped producing excess oil and I don`t get shiny anymore. So from my experience the same stuff works for dry (cheeks) and oily (T zone) skin! :O My skin has a healthy glow that shows up through makeup, and foundations go sooo much smoother on my skin over the oily skin care.
Of course I still use makeup remover (shu uemura / missha oils) and face wash (kanebo elixir superior cream soap) and peelings, but for day/night skin care only the stuff above. It`s summer and I don`t have to work at all now (whoo teachers!), so I often wear no makeup at all, so I just go out like this or use sunscreen on top.

So I can`t really praise natural skin care like this enough!
If you have a chance, please try it! I`m sure you can find products that work the best for You and you`ll love it! ^^* Please talk to me if you want to try sth like this or are already using natural cosmetics, I`d love to hear and learn more! :)

And if you are interested in random stuff, here`s my bedroom (too pink lol!) and my comfy lazy clothes and my 11kg lighter body (from healthy lifestyle) and a raccoon giving a hug to a cat! ;D
Have a great day babies! <3

********** EDIT **********
In similar spirit, look what I found on tumblr, so simple and so good :D

Pharmaceris ALBUCIN triple action skin whitening cream

Hello~

I am enjoying my summer break (teachers ftw!) and mostly riding my bicycle (when I`m not getting into accidents, oops) and doing yoga, eating healthy and relaxing and mentally preparing for my trip to Korea in August! :D

Yesterday I got a Pharmaceris whitening cream from my older sister (unwanted present www)

Pharmaceris is a sub-brand of a well known Dr Irena Eris polish company. ^^ I don`t know how much this cream costs (probably cheap/moderate price range), but it reminds me of Shiseido`s HAKU a bit in consistency. And it has a SPF40, you know I love sun filters! XD

Dr Irena Eris is a dermathologist and a doctor turned into cosmetics producer (now she had many lines of skincare and various cosmetics sold here, all very popular). Pharmaceris is a more of dermathological, specialized skincare. Check their website out if you want to know more: http://www.pharmaceris.pl/en/

I use sunscreen anyway, but I belive prevention is better and easier than trying to remove the damage when it`s already done! So I`ll be testing this cream :D

And preparing for Korea I bought a new bottle of my favorite foundation:

REVLON COLORSTAY foundation! I use 200 NUDE, I got one for my sister, she uses 150 BUFF and I got REVLON COLORSTAY NATURAL to try it out (never used it before). Colorstay foundation is the best foundation in my opinion. It can be used on its own (you have to know how to apply it though, it dries very fast), mixed with bb cream (awesome results!) or mixed with moisturising cream for a tinted moisturizer look. :D Recently it`s so hot I go out with no makeup or just Oriental Herbs bb cream, but it`s always good to have a fresh bottle of good foundation handy. :) If you haven`t tried this one, I strongly recommend it! Of course it may not be great for everyone, but after spending money on Dior, Chanel, Mac, I came back to this and it`s enough. Tested, affordable for everyone, good. *thumbs up* When the weather gets a bit cooler, I will be def. wearing more makeup (because I like it), so this will be very useful!

I will also post about natural cosmetics ingriedients, because recently all I use for skincare is hyaluronic acid and organic avocado oil / shea butter. :D

I`m continuing my healthy life stule change, if you want to know more, follow my healthy tumblr: http://healthy-maguda.tumblr.com/ I`m not doing this for weight loss specifically, but changing my habits to healthier and doing a little bit of excercise made me lose 10kg already, so! If you want to lose weigh, def, think about changing your lifestyle and follow my tumblr! :D

Have a great day! :*
